November 14, 2017 – English Activity Day

14th November saw Ebians from Grade 7 and 8 bring English Language into action on 'English Activity Day' - a fun-filled mini-event where students and their parents entertained themselves with mind-boggling word games and feasted their eyes on colourful thematic displays students had prepared in class. Language Games like Plexers, Rebus and 4 pics one Word, to name a few, rattled everyone’s brains!

November, 2017 – Winner at HRCA Mega Events Science Quiz

Ebians from Grade I & II participated in HRCA Mega Events Science Quiz held on school premises in November. The English & Science Quiz is a national competition that provides students the opportunity to compete in in-person English & Science Quiz contests against and alongside their peers. Momin Baghpati (II-C) won Bronze Medal in this contest! Heartiest congratulations to the winner!

November 7, 2017 - Interschool Shadow Puppetry Competition

This year Education Bay School yet again broke away from the usual Interschool Elocution and Declamation Competitions, and introduced a challenging Shadow Puppetry Competition. Different schools of Karachi including Karachi Grammar School, PECHS Girls’ School, Mama Parsi Girls’ Secondary School, B.V.S Parsi High School etc were invited to our premises. Ebians girls’ team from Grade XI performed on ‘The Tale of Three Brothers’ at the auspicious event. Mrs. Rubina Naqvi, Director TRC Workshop Programme and Ms. Khadija Mahmood, a playwright and lecturer, were invited as outside judges to review the participants’ skills. Ebians tied First place with B.V.S Parsi High School! Congratulations to all the winners!

Oct-Nov, 2017 – Exciting Field Trips

An excited batch of O Level Boys went on a domestic 4 nights, 5 days excursion field trip to Lahore and Islamabad in October. Students had a whale of a time at Rohtas Fort and Khanpur and brought back unforgettable memories! Students of Grade VII & VIII went to an educational field trip at Integrated Dynamics – a drone manufacturing facility at Korangi Creek. It offers design consultancy, subsystems and turnkey solutions for sUAS/UAS/UAV development.O Level Girls (IX, X, XI) visited Dream World Resort on 25th October.

Sept-Nov, 2017 – Participation in various Interschool Contests!

Maryam Shah of VII-A (English topic), Muhammad Munir Iqbal (Urdu topic) of Grade VII-B and Abdul Haseeb of XI-B participated in Interschool Bilingual Declamation Contests held at Reflections School. Waniya Naseer and Rehab Asad of Grade XI-A participated in All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Competition held at D.A SKBZ College. Jannat Kamran of Grade VIII participated in Interschool Letter Reading Competition whereas Izzah Khan (XIA), Ezan Zafar (VIIB) and Fatima Tariq (VIIA) participated in Art Competitions held at Happy Home School! Zaeem Ali (XI-B) won 2nd place in Interschool Qirat Competition at HHS! Izzah Khan also participated in Interschool English Declamation Contest held at The City School. Fakeha Salman participated in Art Competition whereas Ramsha Nusrat and Suha Ahmed of XIA won Second place in Pakistan Quiz Competition on Patriot’s Day Celebration at The Intellect School.

September, 2017 – All Pakistan CEATS English Linguistic Contest Winners!

Students at primary and secondary levels participated in All Pakistan CEATS English Linguistic Contest held on school premises on 20th September. Safiya Saifullah of Grade VIII was declared National Winner and awarded Gold Medal and Distinction Award Shield with ten thousand rupees. Sulayman Ali Samir (Grade 5) was declared District Winner! Parisah Arif Badar (Grade IV), Rabab Fatima Naqvi (Grade IV) , Amna Jaseem (Grade V), Zakariya Ali Samir (Grade VI) and Rumaisa Maryam Samir (Grade VIII) were declared Class Winners.

September, 2017 – Science Safari

Students of Grade 4 & 5 held Science Safari - Activity Day on 28th September. They presented numerous experiments and project displays under themes like Habitat, Eco Systems and Human body to name a few. There were various thematic display stalls and fun-filled interactive experiments and activities for parents and students. Project Displays and experiments spoke volumes about the knowledge and skills of young Ebian scientists.

Azzam Ali Tasadduq and Abdul Momin (8B), Hamna Mehanti (7A) and Rumaisa Maryam (8A) participated in Interschool ArabicDeclamation Contest held at Reflections School. Hamna Mehanti (7A) and Rumaisa Maryam (8A) also participated in Interschool Arabic Declamation Contest held at The Intellect School.

March, 2017 – Annual Function - Pakistan - A Journey

This year’s grand Annual Function saw Ebians celebrating the rich cultural, linguistic, political, historical and geographical diversity of Pakistan. The students took the visitors on a monumental ride through 70 years of Pakistan’s history depicted through various projects and simulations. Wagah Border parade drew great applause from the audience. Highlights of the Ebian Vintage Theatre shows included Urdu play Toba Tek Singh, Poetry Slam and Shadow Theatre depicting Faiz Ahmed Faiz’s poem ‘Lazim hay hum bhi dekhein gay.’

January, 2017 – CEATS and IKSC Winners!

Students at primary and secondary levels participated in CEATS Pakistan Maths Contest held on school premises in January. Huzaifa Shaikh of Grade II was declared National Winner and awarded Gold Medal and Distinction Award Shield. Shehzar Zeeshan (Grade II), Mohammad Salman (Grade III) and Sulayman Ali Samir (Grade IV) were awarded Bronze Medals and School Winner Shields. Heartiest congratulations to the winners. Shehzil Faisal (Grade IV), Zaid Bin Haris and Abdullah Faisal (Grade III) won Honourable Distinction Award with First position and Bronze medals at Institution Level in International Kangaroo Science Contest.

Sept-November, 2016 – Interschool Competition Winners

The 2nd term heralded many victories for Ebians! Muhammed Rayyad from Grade XI won 1st position at the Interschool English Speech Competition held at Happy Home School Festival in February. Maha Imran, Sania Salman and Maryam Sarwar (XI) won 3rd place at the Accounts Challenge Competition in HHS Festival. This year, in the National Child Art Competition organized by The Little Art, Fatima Asif Misbah (VII) won AJG studio workshop with renowned artist Abdul Jabar Gull. Ayesha Bilwani of (IV) won Art Beat Special Award whereas Arsala Musawwir (IV) and Fatima Asif Misbah (VII) won the Prize of Honour and their works were selected to be displayed at The Little Art Exhibition.

March, 2016 – Ebians win awards at CEATS Pakistan Science & Maths Contests!

Students from Grade III-XI participated in Pakistan Science & Maths Contest 2016 held in January by CEATS. (CEATS) enables students to identify their academic strengths and weaknesses and compare their yearly achievement with other students nationwide. Areesha Moosa (X) was awarded District Distinction Award Shield and Silver Medal at CEATS Science Contest. Muhammed Usman (IV), Areesha Atif Hussain (IV) and Suha Ahmed (IXA) were awarded Bronze Medals – School Distinction Awards at CEATS Math Contest. Hearty congratulations to all winners!.

March 12-13, 2016 – Ebian Vintage Theatre - The Morality Plays

Ebian Vintage Theatre presented a grand stage extravaganza ‘The Morality Plays’ on 12-13 March at all grade levels. The first day of this two-day electrifying event saw preprimary students present tableaus, songs, hymns and various oral presentations with great zeal and fervour. The young Primary actors captivated the audience with their brilliant performance in skits like The Cat & the Mouse, The Three Billy Goats, The Wolf & the Sheep and a host of other wonderful stage presentations. Lower Secondary students kept the audience engaged with plays like The Happy Prince and Eidgah. O Level Section enthralled the guests with scintillating performances of Choral Elocution, Shadow Puppetry, a long play ‘Seasons of Joys’ based on Charles Dickens's work and another long play 'Dr. Faustus' by Christopher Marlowe.

February, 2016 – Awareness Programs

Grade XI-A students invited Musarrat Misbah, a distinguished entrepreneur, cosmetologist and philanthropist dedicated to the noble cause of helping and rehabilitating acid and burn crimes’ victims, to conduct a session on women’s rights and social work in Pakistan. Representatives from Mera Karachi visited EBS campus in February to conduct a session with senior students on Traffic Awareness and Road Safety Program.

February, 2016 – Winners at Happy Home School’s Interschool Event gala

Students participated in the Happy Home School’s Interschool event gala from 10-13th February. Fareeha Faisal (XI) participated in English Elocution and won the 2nd position. Subhan Zafar (XI) took part in Art Competition and won 2nd place as well! Ibrahim Salman (IX) and Arzaan AlMiraj (X) won 3rd positions at Cyber Fair. Congratulations to all the winners!.

January, 2016 – EBS School Magazine & Short Stories Anthology

EBS launched a commemorative issue of the school magazine 'Endeavours' on the completion of fifteen years of accomplishments. The special issue looks back at what EBS has been, where we are today and looks ahead as we move forward in faith. The second anthology of short stories written by Ebians from Grade I-XI was also published by the school.

Oct 29, 2015 – 2nd place win at Inter-school Emotive Expressions Competition at EBS

This year Education Bay School hosted Interschool Emotive Expressions Competition thereby giving young actors of Grade III-V from different schools of Karachi to play their part in various tantalizing short skits.The young artists left the audience spellbound with their outstanding performance. Two judges, Ms. Nasreen Ahsan and Ms. Hena Hussain, graced the occasion with their presence and gave away the trophies and certificates to participants. Ebians won the 2nd place, however, since we were the host school, the position was passed down to another participating school. The event was held on 29th October 2015.

Oct 9, 2015 – Art Beat Exhibition & Awards Ceremony

Three students from Education Bay School were invited to Art Beat Exhibition and Prize Distribution Ceremony held on 9th October at Arts Council Karachi. Artworks of Najaf Fatima and Rania Khan of Grade IX and Bismah Sarwar of Grade XI were displayed at the exhibition. They were awarded Special Certificates of Appreciation. This year 210 schools from across the country and 25 community organisations participated in the ArtBeat competition.
